Bespoke illustration as a gift
A bespoke illustration or portrait goes beyond a photograph. It's like a little story, retold in vibrant colors and delicate details.
Whether it’s a Mothers day gift, a new home gift, an anniversary memento featuring your wedding venue, or a reminder of the cozy pub where you first met, I create beautiful watercolor paintings that capture your special moments.
It’s these stories—your precious, unique memories—that I love to capture.
How does it work?
Every commission piece is hand painted, on high quality paper, with watercolour or gouache. Depending on the style you prefer.
In our initial contact we determine what you are actually looking for, the style, the amount of detail, colours etc.
Once this is decided I will provide you with a quote and a contract. When you agree to the quote, signed the contract and I have received a 50% deposit, I will get to work.
Please note that in most cases you will have to provide me with at least one high resolution picture of the subject.
So now we actually get started with the fun things…
I will provide you with a detailed pencil sketch before any of the painting starts. This is to ensure that you can still make several tweaks so that everything is exactly to your liking. As this is obviously one of the most important things,
(Once I start painting it’s a bit harder to make adjustments.)
Depending on our agreed timeframe I will first send you a picture of the finished picture and after receiving the next part of the payment I will ship you the finished artwork.
How much is the investment?
It’s hard to give a flat price as this depends on so many different aspects, like size, amount of detail and people etc.
But it’s best to keep in mind that prices start at €150 for a small painting with minimal detail, and can go up to €550.
When should you contact me?
In general I would say it’s best to contact me 4-8 weeks in advance, as this ensures enough time for revisions etc. Is your timeframe more urgent? Please just feel free to send me a message and we can see what we can do.
